ORDERS FOR CHRISTMAS NOW BEING TAKEN
We are delighted to announce that Goldy's Farm shop at Holme for Gardens, has a new name and new owners in perfect time for Christmas. Simon and Liz Goldsack have purchased the business and have renamed it Holme Farm Shop.
Under its new management and name, Holme Farm Shop will provide an outlet for fresh, local farm produce, supporting Purbeck growers and offering customers the opportunity of reducing their food miles by buying fresh, locally produced food.
“Offering a farm shop to customers is a natural progression for our business and fits perfectly with our existing Garden Centre, Pick Your Own Fruit Farm and the nationally acclaimed Orchard Tea Room” says Simon. “There is a growing market of customers who wish to know exactly where their food has come from, and we are keen to meet this demand. We are in a fortunate position to be able to take on this farm shop at a time when our business is growing from strength to strength” he adds.

Garden lover Jane Atkinson from Swanage won herself an hour on the Fourth Plinth in London’s Trafalgar Square in the Antony Gormley ‘One and Other’ summer exhibition. She was one of 2,400 winners selected from over 32,000 entries and as her local garden centre we were delighted when we could help support Jane by donating one of our Topiary ball sculptures for her trimming demonstration.
This summer, sculptor Antony Gormley invited people from across the UK to help create an astonishing living monument. The exhibition opened on July 6th and runs until October 14th giving the general public the opportunity to occupy the empty Fourth Plinth, a space normally reserved for statues of Kings and Generals. They will become an image of themselves, and a representation of the whole of humanity. You can watch Jane and other winners by visiting www.oneandother.co.uk.
